Fazeel Najeeb

Fazeel Najeeb (PhD, LLM, BA Hons) is an assistant professor at the Maldives National University, where he is a member of the editorial board of Maldives National Journal of Research. He is co-founder and co-editor of Maldives Economic Review, editor of technews.mv, and chairman of Atoll Capital Finance. Earlier, he was governor of the Maldives Monetary Authority and ex officio chairman of its board, and expert at Qatar Central Bank. He was also chief trade negotiator for government of Maldives. Fazeel is also a co-founder of MaldivesResearch."

Mariyam Shakeela

A doctoral graduate from Curtin University, Dr Shakeela has 30 years of experience, nationally and internationally in diverse fields. Currently apart from being an entrepreneur, she is very active in civil society groups both nationally and internationally and facilitates opportunities for economic, social and political empowerment of women and youth, and also works on areas pertaining to conflict resolution, Human Rights and building peace and security.

Fawaz Shareef

Dr Fawaz Shareef is the current Rector of Cyryx College and was the former Vice Chancellor of the Maldives National University. Fawaz holds a PhD in Information Systems and a Masters in Education. Fawaz has over 25 years experience in the field of higher education both in the Maldives and overseas.

Mahamood Shougee

The former Minister of Education (2003-2005) and Tourism and Civil Aviation (2005-2008) who has policy development experience in education and tourism. Shougee holds undergraduate degrees in Education, Economics, and a PhD in Education from the University of Toronto.

Abdul-Sattar Yoosuf

"Abdul Sattar Yoosuf DrPH,  is Founder Chairman of ENDEVOR, a local NGO; Center for Environment, Development and Operational Research -- Maldives. He has a long professional career in public health management, with particular focus on health, environment and development linkages and has done both local and International work on promoting healthy public policy under a model of Healthy Settings. Now retired, he writes and advocates for the seminal role of health protection and promotion strategies in national development.
